Nik Ramsey

Head of Bristol Office & Investment Manager
Bristol

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I have over 20 years’ experience in the wealth management sector, initially as a Financial Planner before focussing on Investment Management serving the needs of individuals, trusts, Charities, Corporate Clients and Pension schemes. I studied for a BSc (Hons) in Geographical Sciences before attending Sandhurst and serving for over six years as an Infantry officer. I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment Institute and holder of the CISI Diploma.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

I joined Quilter Cheviot as an Investment Manager in 2017 and have progressed to be the head of the Bristol office. My team and I provide a full-service discretionary portfolio management tailored to each client’s circumstances and needs, with dedicated first-class administrative support. Client situations vary considerably according to life stage, quantum of wealth, particular areas of interest and the future financial well-being of their families. Consequently, investment solutions are individual due to personal investment risk appetite.

What are your interests outside of work?

In my free time, I enjoy watching rugby and spending time with my family and dog in the countryside.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
