Marshall Docherty

Regional Development Manager
Edinburgh

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I entered Financial Services in 1996 after leaving the Royal Navy, accumulating 27 years of experience across Life, Pensions, and Investments. My journey led me to Quilter Cheviot, where I now focus on building lasting relationships based upon trust and mutual respect. This role allows me to utilise my qualifications and broad range of industry knowledge to deliver bespoke investment services.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

For over two decades, I've prioritised client care, working alongside Investment Managers in the Edinburgh office. Collaborating ensures our partners receive a tailored and high-quality investment service. Personalised communication and a client-centric approach are the cornerstones of my role, helping clients and partners achieve their financial goals.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my profession, I'm a family man who enjoys travelling and quality time with my wife and children. Golf, cycling, and regular gym visits are my outlets for relaxation and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, balancing the demands of a dynamic career with personal well-being.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
