What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My interest in investment management was fuelled by my earlier years of studying economics and business. On leaving University I undertook roles at smaller asset management firms before joining Quilter Cheviot in March 2008 where I have further developed my skills in creating and managing investment portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts, charities and corporate clients. Market conditions are ever-changing and the experience gained over the years has equipped me to navigate the markets and build long lasting relationships with clients based on trust and understanding.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my role I tailor portfolios to align with each client's individual goals and expectations. Frequent communication is essential to understanding their evolving objectives and adapting investment strategy accordingly. Whether it's for private clients, family trusts, charities, or corporate entities, my goal is to construct portfolios that meet their specific needs and aspirations, helping them achieve financial success.

What are your interests outside of work?

Whilst I could be getting more value out of my gym membership, I enjoy keeping active and challenging myself. I also have a fondness for travel, exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. Two children also keep me busy, particularly at weekends, as we attend various sports clubs.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
