Michelle Andrews
Managing Director – Distribution, Proposition & Marketing
London
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
Always focused on making a difference for clients, my career spans over 30 years. I initially joined Skandia from Friends Provident in 1997 to develop international strategy and have since held key roles at Old Mutual Wealth and Quilter, including positions across international distribution, UK and international product development, and marketing. Most latterly I was MD of Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning. Prior to that role, I was Chief Marketing Officer for Quilter and a member of Quilter plc Executive Committee. My diverse board experience encompasses advice, platform, asset management, and wealth management in the UK and internationally. Additionally, I have been a trustee to a large trust company.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
My focus is on the continuous development of the firm’s distribution, proposition and marketing. My proven record of leading major change includes bringing Quilter Private Client Advisers together with Quilter Cheviot. My leadership extends to brand development, notably overseeing the rebranding of the business to Quilter upon listing. As a member of the Quilter Cheviot Executive Committee and a long-term advocate of financial planning, I hold Fellowships with both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Marketing Academy.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I am a mother to 3 children, setting an example for working parents. I actively support emerging marketers through mentoring with The Marketing Academy and contribute to various trade publications on topics including client regulation, inclusion, and diversity. I have an interest in education and am in the process of becoming a trustee and chair to a local multi-academy trust. In rare moments of downtime I spend time out on the water on the South Coast and I am addicted to skiing so I do try to keep fit.
