Kirsty Van Aswegen

Investment Administrator
Manchester

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I joined Quilter Cheviot in 2019 from Investec Wealth and Investment where I was an investment administrator for 3 years. Previously I worked for a Financial Advisor in South Africa as a portfolio administrator for 8 years. I have a B.Com. in Economics and Econometric from the University of Johannesburg and I obtained my Investment Advice Diploma in 2022.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

I am responsible for assisting the Investment Managers with the administration of the portfolios on behalf of private clients, pensions, trusts and charities. I assist with various tasks in my daily role such as dealing with general queries from financial advisers and clients in relation to their portfolios, organising transfers and payments and preparing account paperwork and correspondence, amongst a wide range of administrative tasks.

What are your interests outside of work?

I am a devoted mum of two and love spending time with my children and husband. We like to go on walks and discover new places outdoors.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
