Jonathan Wright

Investment Manager
Glasgow

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I joined Quilter Cheviot in 2001, but my journey in wealth management spans over 35 years, beginning in 1983 when I joined a small local stockbroking firm.  An interest in the stockmarket drew me to this field and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.  I have extensive investment experience and manage portfolios for private clients, charities, trusts, and pension funds.  The responsibility of optimizing client assets within their mandates and risk parameters is a task I approach with dedication and expertise.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

I manage portfolios for a diverse range of clients and my client-facing role prioritises personal service.  Over the years, I've built lasting relationships based on regular communication and attention to detail.  I appreciate that clients entrust me with a significant part of their wealth, and this is a responsibility I do not take lightly.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my professional life, I’m an enthusiastic trail cyclist and skier. An interest in history led me to a hobby in collecting ancient Greek coins.  I’m actively involved in a number of local charities and find purpose in contributing to my community.  Additionally, I’m President of the Rotary Club of Glasgow, where I engage in meaningful service beyond the realm of wealth management.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
