Investment Manager

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

With a background in engineering, I have always enjoyed the scientific and analytical side of finance. I quickly realised, however, that the element of the job that I enjoy the most is the time spent in conversation with clients and peers.

Wealth management appealed to me because it is fundamentally about listening and problem solving. It allows me to take complex situations and participate in finding clear, manageable paths forward.

The real reward in this industry isn't just navigating markets; it is helping successful individuals and their families organise their financial lives to give them long-term clarity and peace of mind.

How do you work with / look after clients?

My primary role is to act as a dedicated sounding board and a central point of contact for my clients and their professional advisers.

I believe in a highly collaborative, personal approach. I work very closely with financial planners and other professionals to ensure we are looking at the complete picture - delivering a comprehensive wealth strategy rather than just an investment portfolio.

To maintain this high-level focus, I rely heavily on Quilter Cheviot's extensive central research team to manage the intricate, day-to-day market analysis. This structure allows me to dedicate my time to what matters most: being accessible to my clients and continually adapting to their evolving needs.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of the office, my life revolves mostly around my wife and two young children.

As a family we love being outdoors, so we spend a lot of time in the garden or on walks around the Mournes, which we are fortunate to live close to in Banbridge.

I enjoy watching various sports as well as highly anticipated films or TV shows when I get the opportunity.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
