Angela Shaw
Investment Administrator & Office Manager
Liverpool
What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
After joining Quilter Cheviot in 2013 as an Investment Administrator, I gradually transitioned into my current dual role as Office Manager and Investment Administrator in the Liverpool office. My journey into the investment management industry was marked by diverse experiences, including previous roles as a Personal Assistant and Technical Assistant as well as experience in Accounts and procurement. These previous roles equipped me with a solid foundation for my current role at Quilter Cheviot.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
My primary focus is ensuring I provide a high level of service for our clients. As an Investment Administrator, I facilitate the smooth flow of information between Investment Managers and the back office, processing client paperwork and maintaining the accuracy of information in client portfolios. This requires meticulous attention to detail and commitment to transparency and is crucial in helping our clients achieve their financial goals. My Office Manager role provides me with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of different projects. Here I am able to utilise both my organisational skills and communication skills and this is a dynamic that I genuinely enjoy.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside the office, I have a passion for music, and I sing once a week in a community choir. It's a delightful way to unwind and connect with a different kind of harmony.
