Investment Manager
Glasgow

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My journey into wealth management started with a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, culminating in an Honours degree from the University of Glasgow. Following a spell working as a Tax Adviser, the attraction of combining portfolio management with developing client relationships was the basis behind a switch into Investment Management. I furthered my qualifications by achieving the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager designation from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and, since 2019, I've been thriving in my role as an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

As an Investment Manager with Quilter Cheviot, I am dedicated to managing clients' investments. I prioritise a personalised service, recognising that each client's financial goals are unique. My approach involves tailoring portfolios to meet their specific needs, whether for private clients, family trusts, charities, or corporate entities. This is achieved through consistent communication, including in-person meetings, to regularly review and adapt investment strategies. This client-facing role allows me to strive to make a meaningful impact on clients' financial well-being.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of my professional commitments, I have a keen interest in playing padel tennis, which provides a great balance to my routine. I also enjoy spending time in nature, especially in the scenic landscapes of Scotland.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
