David Miller

Investment Director
Role at Quilter Cheviot
Most of my time is spent on investment, managing clients’ portfolios and three authorised OEICS, gathering information from many sources or contributing to the Quilter Cheviot investment process through membership of a range of committees including asset allocation and stock selection. I also write the weekly Diary of a Fund Manager which currently has readers in 25 countries and a distribution list of over 15,000. As a result I appear in the press, TV and radio, speak at conferences and have contributed to London Business School, Warwick University and Open University seminars.
David is a graduate of Cambridge University where he studied Natural Sciences, eventually specialising in organic chemistry and was awarded a swimming Blue. He is Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities & Investment.

David has been immersed in financial markets since 1980, as a stockbroker, fund manager at Flemings, then a managing director at JP Morgan and Royal Bank of Canada before joining the Cheviot partnership in 2007 which then became Quilter Cheviot.

Other interests

David is married with 5 children. He keeps fit by cycling to work and still swims and runs competitively when the mood takes him. He enjoys London life and in quiet moments likes to read.

He is Chair of Governors of James Allen’s Girls’ School, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the Hawks Club and an Associate Member of the Alpine Club.
