No consideration of adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors
The European Union has introduced a series of legal measures, the main one being the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) requiring firms that manage investment funds to provide transparency on how they integrate sustainability considerations into their investment process.
Waystone Management Company (IE) Limited (Waystone), as Management Company to the MontLake UCITS Platform ICAV, is responsible for complying with the relevant disclosure requirements under the SFDR.

We have a duty to make sure that we are considering environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues throughout our investment process and through our engagement with the companies and funds we invest in on behalf of our clients. We believe that being a responsible investor is an important element in working towards a sustainable future for the next generation. Adverse sustainability impacts
We do not, at this time, consider the adverse impacts of our investment decisions on sustainability factors. We consider this a pragmatic and transparent approach to our obligations under SFDR until sufficient data is available to facilitate a systematic analysis at a reasonable cost to clients. We intend to reassess this position on an ongoing basis, and we may choose at a future date to consider adverse impacts of our investment decisions on sustainability factors.
Integration of sustainability risks
As part of our investment process, we are integrating the consideration of sustainability risks and factors when assessing companies or funds to invest into, we evaluate the sustainability risks of a security issuer or funds using research, screening and/or numeric evaluations from third party ESG providers We refer to this as ESG integration and this is an ongoing process across all asset classes. The foundation of our responsible investment framework is the integration of ESG factors, as well as active stewardship in terms of engaging with and voting on our core holdings.

The MontLake UCITS ICAV Platform Prospectus has been amended for the purpose of meeting the specific financial product level disclosure requirements contained in the SFDR.

Remuneration policy
Our remuneration policy is consistent with and promotes sound and effective risk management, including sustainability risk, and does not encourage risk-taking which is inconsistent with clients’ risk profiles, client objectives and personal circumstances.
