What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My journey in wealth management began over a decade ago when I joined Cheviot Asset Management as an Investment Adviser. Since then, I've spent 15 years in the field, honing my expertise. I currently serve as an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot, a role I've held for the past 10 years. My educational background in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science has been a strong foundation for my career in investment management. It's the dynamic nature of wealth management and the opportunity to create tailored solutions that attracted me to this field.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

As an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot, my primary role involves crafting and managing investment portfolios that align with the unique goals and preferences of my clients. I've been in this client-facing role for a decade, and I believe that personalized service is paramount. Regular communication, both written and in-person meetings, ensures that I stay attuned to my clients' evolving objectives. This approach has been instrumental in helping clients achieve their financial goals, be it for private clients, family trusts, charities, or corporate entities. I head up one of the private client teams in London and sit on a number of the investment committees.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I'm an active squash enthusiast, which helps me stay physically fit and unwind. This passion for sports complements my professional interests in wealth management. It's crucial for me to maintain a balance between my career and personal life, and sports play a vital role in achieving that balance. I have also started to help coach my son’s football team.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
