What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I began my career within Investment Management at Nicholson Barber Stockbrokers, as my first employed role in the Financial Sector after completing my degree at Liverpool University. I qualified as an Investment manager with the requisite MSCI diploma within three years and moved on to become an Investment Manager.  I had established an early interest in the Financial market in my teens and wanted to pursue a career in financial markets from an early age.

From there, I went on to become an Investment Manager at Brewin Dolphin before joining Quilter Cheviot in 2005 and have built up long-standing client relationships since then. I have over 25 years of investment experience managing portfolios on behalf of clients.

How do you work with / look after clients?

My goal is to ensure every client makes informed decisions, driven by a clear understanding of how this might affect their long-term financial position.  I work towards this by tailoring my approach to the individual needs of each client, depending on their financial goals. Clients are at the heart of our business and my clients know that their investment portfolios are taken care of with the highest qualitative standards, backed by extensive research and industry insights.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I am a keen pianist following on from my musical roots. I also enjoy tennis and snooker as well as watching he sports when I have the time.

I also enjoy travelling to more exotic locations around the world to broaden my horizons and enjoy the varied cultural experiences travel has to offer.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
