Samantha Jones

Investment Administrator
Birmingham

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

Having graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2015 with a degree in Psychology, I was attracted to a career in wealth management administration as the role combines working closely with people in a fast paced, detail driven environment. In my position as an Investment Administrator in the Birmingham office, I enjoy being a key point of contact for clients and intermediaries, helping to resolve portfolio queries and supporting Investment Managers on a day to day basis. Over the past seven years at Quilter Cheviot, I have developed a strong understanding of how effective administration and teamwork play a vital role in delivering a high standard of client service.

How do you work with / look after clients?

I approach my role with a strong focus on organisation, accuracy and delivering a high level of client service. Each day, I support clients and intermediaries with portfolio‑related queries and work closely with Investment Managers to ensure the smooth running of client accounts, taking pride in clear communication and a helpful, proactive approach.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, life mainly revolves around my young family and my one‑year‑old daughter (who keeps me very busy!). When I get a moment to relax, I enjoy reading, watching a bit of trash TV, and planning our next holiday. I also used to make pottery before family life took over and would love to get back to it one day.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
