Robert Beswick (Chartered ALFBF)

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I transitioned into financial planning following a diverse background, first working on the family dairy farm then completing an engineering apprenticeship with Airbus. After serving as a Method and Process Project Engineer, I pursued a career shift into financial planning after finding a real interest in the pension scheme and how it all worked. Achieving Chartered ALFBF status, I have been with Quilter Cheviot since May 2016, offering comprehensive financial planning in areas like pensions, investments, mortgages, and life insurance.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

As a Chartered ALFBF for 7 years, I prioritize personalized service making a point of being available for my clients whenever they need me. I tailor financial plans for professional deputies, private clients, and family trusts. I offer regular, personalized communication to ensure my client’s plans align with their objectives.

What are your interests outside of work?

In my personal life I love to spend time with my wife, two young children and our dog. I have an active lifestyle spending as much time as possible out in the countryside. You will find me in my wellies on the farm, sailing my GP14 or hill walking in the Clywdian Hills.
