What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

My journey into wealth management began after seven years with M&S Bank, where I advanced to a Team Leader role, managing wealth dealing and providing technical support. Transitioning to Astute Private Wealth as a Paraplanner, I honed my financial acumen and technical expertise. Currently, at Quilter Cheviot, I leverage this diverse experience in my role as a Paraplanner, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of investment strategies and client needs.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

In my past years at Quilter Cheviot, my role as a Paraplanner has involved meticulous support for clients' financial aspirations. Collaborating closely with advisers, I provide technical insights and assistance.  I complete research and write client reports, ensuring alignment with client objectives. The service we provide aims to foster enduring client relationships and support their financial goals.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my financial pursuits, I appreciate outdoor activities like hiking, gardening, and growing my own food, providing a welcomed contrast to the demands of my work. These endeavours contribute to my holistic approach to life, ensuring a balance between professional commitments and personal well-being.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
