What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I am a Financial Planner at Quilter Cheviot, helping individuals, families and business owners make confident decisions about their wealth, both for today and future generations.
My approach begins with understanding the person behind the finances: what matters to them, what they want to achieve and how their wealth can support the life they want to lead. I can then bring together investments, pensions, tax planning and broader financial considerations into a clear and practical long term strategy.
How do you approach your role on a daily basis?
I have a particular focus on estate planning, helping families preserve and transfer wealth efficiently. Whether through inheritance tax planning, wealth structuring or preparing the next generation, I work closely with clients to ensure their wealth supports both their current needs and long term legacy.
I also have extensive experience working with business owners and entrepreneurs. As clients transition from building wealth to making the most of it, I help them manage business risks, extract wealth tax efficiently and plan for succession or sale, ensuring their financial success supports their wider personal and family goals.
With a background spanning over 20 years in investment banking and financial planning, alongside a degree in Philosophy, I combine analytical thinking with thoughtful advice, helping clients navigate complexity and make confident decisions.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside work, I enjoy running, hiking and ski touring, and spending time in the countryside with his wife and their dog.
For me, good financial planning starts with understanding the person rather than the portfolio and ends with giving clients clarity, confidence and peace of mind about their future and the legacy they wish to leave.
