Charles Hirst (Chartered (ALFBF))

Financial Planner
London office

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

I was drawn to Wealth Management because it brings together technical expertise and the realities of everyday life. Behind every portfolio is a family, a goal or a future someone is working toward. I wanted a career where I could make a difference and help individuals make considered decisions and feel confident about their financial future

With over 13 years' experience in financial services and Chartered ALFBF status I'm also a Pension Transfer Specialist, meaning I can guide clients through the more intricate aspects of pension transfers and retirement choices and as a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Affiliate, having completed the trust and estate planning qualification, helping clients plan with certainty for the future and protect what matters most.

How do you look after clients?

I work with individuals, families, business owners and entrepreneurs to help them plan with purpose and use cashflow forecasting to help clients think longer term and understand the impact today's choices can have on future wealth, lifestyle and exit planning.

Alongside investment and retirement planning, I ensure clients have the right protection in place. I believe the best financial advice is clear and forward thinking giving clients peace of mind in where they are heading and how to get there.

What are your interests outside of work?

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with family and friends or doing something active. I'm currently training for an 86km charity cycle ride from London to Brighton, and a Triathlon, I also enjoy a round of golf.
