Chartered Financial Planner
Leeds office

What attracted you to a career in wealth management?

After graduating with a Fine Art Bachelor’s degree from University of the Arts London, I was not sure what direction my career would take. I made the unlikely decision to take a position at a high street bank in 2013. My work there involved spending most of my day in meeting rooms with customers, from all walks of life.

I most enjoyed helping people work through financial concerns and offering peace of mind that they were making the right decisions. I wanted to assist in a broader range of areas and completed my Diploma in Financial Advice in 2015. I then made my move to financial planning, becoming a Chartered Financial Planner in 2020.

How do you approach your role on a daily basis?

During my career I have worked with a diverse range of clients, both personal and corporate, and while they have each had different hopes and needs, some things have remained constant. A need for their objectives to be understood, valued and properly addressed, for clear communication and availability from their financial planner, and for actions to be promptly carried out in the timeframes agreed. On a daily basis, my priority is to deliver a service that meets these needs.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and staying fit, particularly by getting out in the glorious Yorkshire countryside.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
