Head of Charities
I am the Head of Charities and I have been managing charitable, company and high net worth portfolios since 2003.
I hold a BA in Economics and am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI).
Prior to his City career, William spent a decade working in the Royal Navy, including seven years in the Submarine Service. His city career began in 2002 at Laing & Cruickshank and UBS, before joining Cheviot, as a partner, in 2006. The Company merged with Quilter in 2013, at which time he was promoted to Head the Charities department. William sits on the Investment Oversight Committee and Charity Asset Allocation Sub-Committee.
Amongst his charitable commitments, William is a Governor of the Royal Star & Garter, Trustee of Seafarers UK and acts as the independent investment adviser to the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Charity (RNRMC). Historically, he has also acted as a school Governor. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. Out of work, when not walking spaniels or chauffeuring his children, hobbies include wakeboarding, skiing, golf and travel.
