Financial Planner

What attracted you to a career in financial planning?

The truth of it is, I fell into Financial Planning after completing my degree at Glamorgan University. I knew I wanted to take a career path that involved making a real difference to people’s lives but had no idea that helping people achieve their financial goals would be the direction I would take. Having now been a Financial Planner for nearly 20 years, I consider myself fortunate to be in this industry and helping my clients out every day.

What would you like to achieve for clients?

My main focus for my clients has always been to be the person they can turn to for help and guidance with their financial matters and be one of the most trusted people in their lives. I like to think that the long-standing trust I have built up over many years with my clients is a testament to how I deliver advice over the long term for them. I pride myself on trying to exceed my client’s expectations each and every time we interact, and client referrals have been a key factor in my long term success in the industry.

What else are you passionate about?

Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible with my young family, and when I can spare the time, playing golf with friends. Travelling and cooking have always been a passion of mine over many years, and a fantastic way for me to relax. Whilst I don’t get as much time as I did to travel it still holds a special place in my heart. My proudest moment without question was becoming a father in November 2021, and family plays a vital part in my life. This career has always allowed me to strike a fair balance between work and home life.

The value of your investments and the income from them can fall and you may not recover what you invested.
