Head of Salisbury Office
I am a senior investment manager looking after the portfolios of Private Clients, Pensions, Trusts and Charities on a day to day basis, supported by my team of 5 including two investment managers.
Richard is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and a Chartered Wealth Manager.
After a successful time in the Army culminating at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as a member of the officer training staff, Richard’s investment management career started in 1994 with Gerrard Vivian Gray (GVG) in Ipswich. Richard moved up to the City in 1995 with GVG which, by acquisition, became Greig Middleton and he remained there until he transferred to the Salisbury office of Cazenove in 2001. In 2003 Richard went to Bristol with Quilter Cheviot and subsequently helped set up the Salisbury office of Quilter Cheviot in 2010.
As a father of two sporting teenage boys, Richard is a fully paid up member of the “touchline parents association”. Richard has owned and ridden horses all his life and continues to do so when he gets the opportunity as well as doing a bit of hill walking. Richard is keen on military history and gardening and is a local parish councillor, a job that he has done for 8 years.
