Choosing the winning image
Our panel of judges will select three winning images each month during the competition that best illustrate the theme. They will consider a range of factors including composition, technical ability, originality, interpretation of the brief and the commercial appeal of the photographs.
The rest of the photographs shortlisted by the judges will enter a public vote. During 2 weeks, we will ask the public to vote for their favourite photograph. The photograph with the most votes will qualify for the next round at BBC Countryfile Live.
The shortlisted photographs will be displayed at the Quilter Cheviot photography exhibition at BBC Countryfile Live in August 2018. The public will be invited to vote for their favourite photograph and our panel of judges will also select their winning photograph.
The finalists will be announced by Friday 20 July 2018.
