The FTSE 100 is called to open 22 points higher at 7211. Most Asian stocks posted modest gains Tuesday and U.S. and European futures nudged higher as investors digested signs of progress in trade negotiations and speculation of government stimulus to shore up economic growth. Treasuries rose and the dollar hovered near the year’s high.
