We provide investment management which is specific to a charity’s individual requirements. We manage £1.4bn*of charitable assets making us one of the leading charity managers in the UK and have considerable experience of managing both Irish and Jersey based charitable foundations as well. We do not manage any common investment funds for our charity clients as we do not believe in a one size fits all approach.
We aim to build long term relationships with our clients and we believe that by combining our focus on client service with a robust investment process, we offer a unique proposition for charity investment management. Our clients are looked after by investment managers with the knowledge and experience to manage your portfolio.
A charity’s portfolio has to be linked to its long term objectives. Many of our charity investment managers are trustees/ investment advisors to charities and therefore are well-versed in the challenges and dilemmas facing charities.
Our experience has taught us that understanding each charity’s ethos, goals and ethical considerations is key to the investment management process. We will endeavour to work in partnership with you to get the results that you need in a way that works for you.
Why Quilter Cheviot?
- The Charity Commission’s advice on investment (CC14) states: ‘Trustees must take and consider advice from someone experienced in investment matters before making investments and when reviewing them, unless they have good reasons for not doing so.’ We offer discretionary management services to charities; we do not have a common investment fund for charities therefore we build portfolios based on the requirements of the client, not by shoe-horning them into a product.
- We do not employ relationship managers; all our clients meet with their investment management team.
- We are transparent in our fee charging structure and show performance net of all fees.
We are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The regulatory rules strictly govern the way we hold client money and investments, meaning that your assets are always held separately from those belonging to us.
Our clients’ money is held in pooled, ‘client’ designated accounts with leading banks and global custodians. You may be assured that your assets will always remain your property.
