What attracted you to a career in wealth management?
I have always enjoyed helping people and having long term relationships, so Wealth Management was a natural fit ,as I was more numerate rather than science based as a student
Having graduated in Accounting and Finance in 1985 ,I entered our industry training at Ashworth Sons and Barratt,Charlton Seal and finally Bell Lawrie White where I qualified as a Member of the Securities Institute in 1992
I was a founder member of the Quilter Cheviot Manchester Office in 1993 progressing to Head of Office in 2003 and served 17 years in this role
What would you like to achieve for clients?
I very much enjoy the task of engaging with clients finding investment solutions to meet their needs ultimately protecting assets we are trusted with from inflation, and preserving the purchasing power until needed as well as day to day income it can provide
I enjoy making what can be the complicated subject of investment more readily understood so clients can feel confident in their chosen investment approach and achieve expected outcomes
What else are you passionate about?
I enjoy travelling and dining out (both fine and the not so fine)
I have many and varied interests outside work and I volunteer with two Charities giving my time freely as an advisor
Proudest moments
Daughters - My family who provide with many proud moments but notably when both my daughters qualified as Dental Surgeons in 2017 and 2020 respectively
Football team - I am Manchester City season ticket holder and enjoying their current success after 30 years of relative mediocrity or worse! I was at the stadium for the Aguerooooooooooooooooo moment!
